Have a Good Summer

Please make sure to check out your classmates' websites to see what they've created! Everyone at this point should have posted their websites' url to their blog.

I've really enjoyed reading everyone's blogs this semester. You've all done a good job of discussing an amazing variety of articles relating to technology.

A Two Week Break

Remember you don't have to do a news discussion this week or next week. Your next news discussion (#8) will be due on March 20th. Have a good Spring Break!

If you haven't already written your blog post for this week, here are some articles/reports to think about:

Pew Report on Twitter

You might also consider writing about one of the articles Bill Cuthbertson mentioned in his presentation to class on 2/26.

Potential Articles for News Discussion #4

Here are a couple of articles you might want to write about for News Discussion #4. As always, you can choose to find a different technology-related article of interest.

Welcome to the IMS 201 Section D Blog!

All of your classmates' blogs will be posted under My Blog List on the left-hand side of this page, so that you can see what others are writing and you can comment on things that interest you. I encourage you to comment on each other's posts (you'll get some participation points for it), though I do ask that you keep it polite and respectful.

Your blog posts will normally be due every Friday at midnight, though your first blog post for this week will be due on Sunday at noon.

I will occasionally post interesting articles that I find here to help give you some topics. You can choose to write about any of the articles I post, but you're also free to write about another technology-related article you find interesting.

Here are three articles that you may consider writing about:

One Laptop Per Child: Then What?

New Zealand Police Use Facebook to Stop Crime

Apple Boss Steve Jobs to Take Extended Leave

Remember that you should do more than just summarize. Think about whether or not you agree with the article you find, what the significance might be (if any), how it might relate to your life, etc. I look forward to reading what you all write.
